What it means
- The guideline describes creator apps as offering one unified experience, with tools that let non-developer creators author, distribute and earn from their own experiences.
- Those experiences may not change the core features of the native app. They add content, they are not native apps written by developers, and App Review treats them as user-generated content.
- Such apps must follow all guidelines, including 1.2 on moderation and 3.1.1 on payments, and must tell users which content needs additional purchases.
- (a) Creator apps must give users a way to spot content above the app's age rating, and must limit access by underage users with an age gate based on verified or declared age.
