What it means
- (a) Submissions, including apps offered for pre-order, are to be final versions with all necessary metadata and working URLs. Placeholder text, empty websites and other temporary content are to be removed before submission.
- Apps are to be tested on a device for bugs and stability, and demo account details are to be included if the app has a login, with the back-end service switched on.
- If a demo account cannot be provided for legal or security reasons, a built-in demo mode may be offered with prior approval from Apple, and it is to show the app's full features and functionality.
- (b) In-app purchases have to be finished, current, visible to the reviewer and working. If a configured item cannot be found or reviewed in the app, the reason is to be given in the review notes.
What reviewers look at
The guideline says incomplete app bundles, and binaries that crash or show obvious technical problems, will be rejected.
