What it means
- (a) Every new feature, function and product change is to be described in detail in the Notes for Review field of App Store Connect and be reachable for review.
- Misleading marketing, such as promoting content or services the app does not offer (iOS-based virus and malware scanners are the example) or advertising a false price, inside or outside the App Store, is grounds for removing the app, blocking its installation through alternative distribution and terminating the developer account.
- (b) Severe or repeated behavior of this kind can get a developer thrown out of the Apple Developer Program.
What reviewers look at
The guideline says generic descriptions in the Notes for Review will be rejected.
